Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the library collection, including acquisition, cataloging, and organization of materials.
  • Assist patrons in locating resources, conducting research, and utilizing library services.
  • Develop and implement library programs and activities to promote literacy and a love of reading.
  • Provide instruction on information literacy skills, including research techniques and database use.

  • Manage library budgets, including purchasing materials and managing subscriptions.

  • Promote library resources and services through marketing and outreach efforts.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science.
  • Previous experience working in a library setting, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Knowledge of library systems and cataloging standards.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in information retrieval and research methods.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to promoting literacy and lifelong learning.
